CHINEHAM bus stop saga: Continues with the one (or is it two?) at Hartswood providing the biggest challenge.
Stagecoach had said that drivers have been instructed to look out for passengers at both stop positions, but passengers are encouraged to clearly indicate that they wish a bus to stop.
Stopping buses has proved more reliable during half-term week, as spaces have seemingly been available throughout the peak period on the number 2 service.
The widespread provision of new shelters is generally proving popular, though they are not without problems.
The previously-mentioned Hartswood shelter has become a magnet for groups of young people, while other shelters are deemed rather flimsy and inadequate.
MOBILE library: At Chineham Village Hall car park, from 4pm to 4.20pm, next Thursday.
