IT'S the swinging 60s and the sexual revolution is here.
Howard Barker's play Cheek! is a black comedy drama where Laurie is a sexually frustrated, lazy, cynical twentysomething and will do almost anything to get what he wants.
His father is not dying quick enough and to top it all his best friend is playing around with his attractive mother.
Needless to say his woeful life is everyone else's fault but his own.
Matt Avery as Laurie stepped into the part at literally the last moment to give us a strong and charismatic performance.
All the characters displayed good comic timing and the use of video was cleverly used to pry into the thoughts of the characters.
The play included strong language and intimate scenes that the company handled well.
This was a challenging play well directed by Moyra Allen.
