Two former Hampshire champions have battled through to the second stage of the qualifying school for the European Ladies Tour.
New Milton's Natalie Booth, pictured, posted rounds of 71 and 72 for a one under par total and a share of 16th place in the first stage of qualifying at the Metaponto Club.
And Fleming Park trainee professional Emma Weeks also got through after shooting 75 and 72 for a three over par total which left her tied 39.
The leading 50 players went through to the final qualifying stages starting tomorrow, with Natalie and Emma hoping to join their old Hampshire teammate Kirsty Taylor on next year's tour.
Justin Rose fired a sparking six under par 65 for a top-five position after the first round of the Chrysler Championship in America.
But a triple bogey at the 16th early in his second round knocked the Hampshire player off the leaderboard, although he later fought back with a couple of birdies.
A bogey at the second last took him back to five under par, five shots behind the leader, Jonathan Byrd, but still in a challenging top-ten position.
