A £40m scheme to connect more than 3,300 homes in Southampton to cheap heat and power has been awarded a huge boost for pipework and boilers.
The government has awarded £3.279m to help pay for connecting hundreds of homes in Millbrook to the city's Combined Heat and Power Plant, which will be built next to the M271 near Millbrook Rugby Club.
Work on the plant is due to begin in December.
