With two defeats already clocked up, Winchester cannot afford to lose any more ground on league leaders Jersey at the top of London Three South-West.
The often impregnable Rue des Landes ground awaits a changed Winchester side who lost out 11-10 to Chobham last week.
Russell Churcher replaces fellow prop Derri O'Donoghue, who drops to the bench, while South African Derek Manning comes in for the unavailable Campbell Ettinger in the second row.
In the backs, Simon Rogers plays his first game in more than six months after tearing knee ligaments at Wimbledon. He comes in for Dan Waddington, so Dan Kinsey reverts to full-back.
Sandwiched between the two are Tottonians, who will be watching events in Jersey for their own benefit. The Totton side have an awkward fixture of their own to contend with at Effingham & Leatherhead.
Tottonians make just one change to the side that beat Weybridge Vandals, with Dan Taylor getting his first start on the flank.
Totts have never beaten the Surrey side but captain Paul Goodall said: "This is one of the major away wins we have targeted and if we keep our heads right, I am sure we will travel back down the M3 with the points.
"This league is wide open after last Saturday's results and I think it will be whoever keeps consistency will come up trumps."
At the bottomn of London Four, Southampton and Romsey, in eighth and ninth places respectively, face difficult games which they need to win.
Southampton receive unbeaten Guernsey at Test Park and they are without a number of players for this vital home fixture.
Ian Budd is injured, Dave Ingram is out and Paul Fisher is away so club secretary Carl Wilmore returns in the second row, Ben Guy is back in the back row and Pete O'Donnell is recalled to the wing.
Romsey, who won their first game of the season last week but may have to replay the match, are keeping their cards close to their chest again ahead of their fixture with KCS Old Boys.
