Eastleigh boss Paul Doswell has urged his side to repeat their best team performance of the Ryman Premier Division season against high-flying Northwood.

Doswell was delighted with his side's 1-0 win at home to second-placed Cheshunt on Wednesday night and now it's third placed Northwood's turn to visit Ten Acres.

Andy Forbes, Paul Sales, David Hughes and Rob Marshall remain on the sidelines but Doswell is upbeat.

He said: "We're playing in high spirits at the moment every point we pick up now is crucial and keeps us in the pack.

"We produced our best team performance of the season against Cheshunt and every week is a week closer to getting Andy Forbes, Rob Marshall and Paul Sales coming back.

"This will hopefully be our last league game without them and if we play like we did on Wednesday we'll win the game.

"The conditions were horrible but we matched them physically and it was a great goal from James Stokoe.

"We could have had another when Nicky Banger hit the bar from five yards and they just weren't able to break us down, but defensively we were back to our best.

"Even without Paul and Andy we score goals because we're an attacking side but the problem for us this season has been keeping clean sheets - so we were delighted with the Cheshunt performance because everyone did a good job.

"We've had Northwood watched, as we have with every side this season, which has helped us quite a bit.

"We had a fair idea of what Chertsey were going to do as a result and Northwood play 3-5-2 like a lot of London sides do.

"They've got a few players we're going to have to be wary of but if we play like we did on Wednesday we'll win."
