Totton carp ace Darren Jones gave match anglers from the Salmon Leap Angling Club a run for their money in their latest match at Longbridge, armed with bite alarm and bed chair.
'Jonesy' took eight carp to 10lb for 59lb 6oz on halibut pellets over pva bags of trout pellets from peg 23 to score a comfortable victory.
Ian Elcock fished peg 38 on pole and corn to land 46lb 4oz of tench and carp from the canal. Others: R Chapman 34lb 10oz, S Watson 34lb 4oz, G Wright 32lb 13oz.
The Bournemouth Lodge Open on Hordle saw two lake records shattered in one day. Geoff Charman fished a mixture of corn and cockles over pellets from the Canal Lake to land a massive 112lb 12oz of carp to over 5lb to get the better of Chris Albiston who broke the Long Lake record with 111lb 10oz of carp to 8lb fishing the long pole to the island. Mickey Dean finished third with 77lb 12oz of carp from Long Lake.
Cormorants held a club match on the Lower Lake at Broadlands which saw Dynamite Bait's Simon Hambidge continue good form.
Hambidge took seven bream and skimmers on pole and pellet from peg 24 to score a comfortable success. Rick Kajko made an all-roach and skimmer haul on the pole and pellet from peg ten for 20lb 8oz to finish second with Poingdestres' Clive Egerton third with 17lb 14oz.
The mid-week match at Greenridge saw victory go to Mick Kenney who took 36lb 2oz of carp to 5lb on pole and maggot from the far bank from peg 12 on Canal 2. Mick Marsh Eastleigh Mosella finished second with 27lb 8oz of carp to 5lb on pole and maggot with Chalkie White (Eastleigh Mosella) third.
Winchester's Andy Haydon landed 76lb 6oz of carp to 5lb from the golden peg on Canal 1, peg ten to collect £200 for his victory taken on long pole and worm over chopped worm in the Greenidge Open.
Pete Newman (Poingdestres) was second with 67lb of carp on pole and pellet from peg 4 on Canal 1 with Dave Hyde third with 63lb 8oz of carp.
The weekend open at Waldens Farm saw victory go to Mark Canning who took 61lb 6oz of mainly carp on the long pole to the far bank to win comfortably from Gordon Tedd with 35lb 6oz with Shaun Franks third with 18lb 12oz.
Dynamite Bait's Dave Hambidge won Woopecker Lake in the Stafford Moor Festival with a 205lb of carp to 5lb on waggler and pellet up in the water on a day when the 46 anglers averaged close to 100lb a man on the Devon venue.
Broadlands had a superb week on the pike front with over 200 fish for the week. Kev Dores continued his great run on the venue taking 14 fish in a day from the steps in the Inlet Bay which included fish of 19lb, 17lb and 16lb 8oz.
Mick Philips of Southampton also had a good session, landing 11 fish to 18lb 8oz on a mixture of live and dead baits. Roger Halford of Southampton fished the Blackwater Corner on peg 14 to land nine fish to 16lb.
l Hardly a week goes by without a new fishery record from Monks, Blackwater or Rookley Park on the Isle of Wight and this week it was the time of Rookley Park with Paul Philips landing Rosies Mate at 31lb 8oz plus three upper doubles.
Philips returned for another night session and took fish of 24lb 8oz and 18lb.
Dave Wateridge's Waldens Farm has been in good form for pike with Jody Bennett of Ferndown landing nine fish, including doubles of 18lb 3oz, 15lb 6oz and 12lb 5oz on sardines from Bishops.
On Abbots pike were showing on most pegs along with the odd carp. Mike Fox of Southampton took three carp to 12lb. On Monks Don Waters of Christchurch took a 39lb mixed bag of carp, skimmers, rudd and perch on float fished maggot and corn.
