SEVERAL Hampshire League games were ruled out by the rain but Vernham Dean picked up three points when they beat high-flyers East Lodge 4-1.
M Ford scored for Vernham Dean in the second minute and D Marr made it 2-0 right on half-time.
In the second half, Ford made it 3-0 before East Lodge pulled one back right on full-time. Marr scored again to make it 4-1.
The Broughton versus Mottisfont derby was played in heavy rain and wind. There was no score in the first half but both teams had chances in the second.
The game came to life when Broughton took a 2-0 lead through L Young and S Griffen. D Kemp of Mottisfont was sent-off in the 70th minute but, in the last ten minutes, ten-man Mottisfont scord twice through M Street and J Cook to force a 2-2 draw.
l BTC (Southampton), with a very young side, crashed out of the Southampton Senior Cup 4-0 to a much older Winchester City side in driving rain and high winds.
Lyndhurst travelled to Burridge AFC and won 3-1 after W Allen opened the scoring for them in the 22nd minute.
Burridge made it 1-1 in the 43rd minute but, in the second half, R Cawte scored in the 58th minute and 18-year-old T Robinson netted on his debut in the 75th minute. Lyndhurst are away to Eastleigh/Otterbourne in the next round.
