What's coming up on the music scene this week.

REVERED guitarist Tony Emanuel comes to the Turner Sims Concert Hall in Highfield on Tuesday, 26 October. The musician is known around the world thanks to his appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. As well as appearing in the same show as Kylie Minogue at the ceremony he has also worked alongside such musicians as Eric Clapton, George Martin and Martin Taylor.

BILL Wyman is bringing his Rhythm Kings and some more friends to The Anvil in Basingstoke on Thursday, 28 October. The former Rolling Stones bassist has returned to his musical roots with the Rhythm Kings. Music fans can look forward to hearing this set of virtuoso musicians bring back to life the kind of classic rhythm and blues that first inspired Wyman to pick up a guitar as a teenager.

BRITISH rock band 22-20s come to the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth this week.

On Sunday, 24 October the band will be bringing a slice of atomic-powered rock and roll to the venue, with a set featuring plenty of tracks from their eponymous album which was released in September.

They will be supported by Dublin-based singer Cathy Davey.

AS PART of a new partnership the BBC Concert Orchestra is using Chichester Festival theatre as their regional home in the south. The first of a series of five concerts from them takes place on Friday, 22 October with the world-famous Friday Night is Music Night being broadcast from the theatre.

The Concert Orchestra will be joined by artists from the worlds of opera and musical theatre for a feast of classic music.
