A TEAM of 11 youngsters from the Southampton Diving Academy won a solitary bronze at the White Rose Diving Invitational in Leeds.
The event attracted entrants from 11 top clubs from all over Great Britain with some categories having over 30 competitors entering.
Southampton's most successful diver was Robert Knight (14) who won bronze in the 14+ years age group in his first competition since returning from a bout of appendicitis.
Emily Burden (13) was fourth, only seven points away from a bronze.
Max Costley (10) did well in group D (10/11 year old) of the boys event, finishing sixth out of more than 30 divers in the final.
The youngest member of the team, Bethany Watts (9), was pitted against a competitive field including members of the national Junior Talent Programme.
Bethany is a member of the Southern Zone of the Junior Talent Programme and justified her selection by finishing sixth overall.
Team mate Rachel Holland (9) was unlucky to miss out on a place in the final by just a few points in her first residential away trip.
