LITTER busters from North Baddesley Junior School have been sprucing up their neighbourhood.
More than 30 helpful eight-year-olds spent a morning with Test Valley's neighbourhood wardens, dog wardens and countryside officers, clearing dropped bottles, coffee cups and other rubbish.
The day was part of a project called CASE, Clean, Safe and Educate, set up by Testway Housing and Test Valley Council.
A team tours Test Valley schools telling pupils about the impact of litter on the environment, pets and wildlife, as well as emphasising the importance of recycling.
The children look for litter hot spots in their area and litter pick to tidy up their neighbourhood.
Nadia Dowling, from Testway, said: "Feedback from the schoolchildren has shown that CASE has made them more aware of the problems caused by litter and now they are willing to do something about keeping their neighbourhood up to scratch."
