Eastleigh have taken Tyronne Bowers off the transfer list ahead of tomorrow's FA Cup third qualifying round replay at home to Tiverton Town (7.45).

It was the little midfield magician who sparked the dramatic 3-3 fightback at Ladysmead on Saturday, scoring with a 20-yarder just two minutes after going on as a second-half substitute with Eastleigh 3-1 down.

Bowers vowed to prove himself after being transfer-listed last month and was so determined to stay at the Sparshatts Stadium that he took a voluntary wage-cut and went on a diet.

There has been interest from Bashley and his long-time admirer Ernie Howe at Basingstoke Town but Eastleigh boss Paul Doswell said: "Tizer's Eastleigh through and through - he just needed a kick up the backside.

"He's shown a great attitude since we put him on the list. He's lost half a stone in weight and looks fully focussed on his football again. He'd got himself into a comfort zone - but he's certainly not in it now!

"He came on and helped change the game for us at Tiverton, along with Martin Beck and Sam Wyeth."

Victory tomorrow night would be rewarded with a home draw against either North Leigh or Newport County, who meet again in south Wales tonight following Saturday's 0-0 draw.

Doswell said: "Any home draw is good but we face a really tough test tomorrow.

"I'm proud of the boys, though. We had six players out injured again at Tiverton, but they keep fighting for us. All I hope now is that we can get a good enough side out."

To add to Eastleigh's problems, defender Rob Marshall broke his hand at Tiverton and Lee Bright hobbled off at half-time with an ankle injury."

l Bashley skipper Mat Jones is highly doubtful for tonight's Hampshire Senior Cup second round tie at home to Fleet Town after injuring an ankle in Saturday's 1-0 win at Whyteleafe.

Manager Geoff Butler is still keen to complete the delayed loan signing of midfielder Luke Byles from Havant & Waterlooville, but it is unlikely to go through until later this week. Hawks secretary Trevor Brock confirmed: "Some clubs have shown interest in Luke but no negotiations have been completed yet."
