Sir.-I would like to add my thanks to all who took part in the recent Millennium Brass Concert at The Anvil and, in particular, to thank Paul Connolly, not only for his letter in last week's Gazette but also for his excellent compering.
In this role, Paul brought together more than a year's planning to produce an interesting and knowledgeable link to all the music items - he had obviously put in a lot of thought and effort to his fine presentation.
In addition, I would like to thank Pan Everest Steel Pans, who were a credit to their school, John Hunt of Everest. These young musicians, who played with skill and enthusiasm, were clearly well rehearsed, displaying professionalism beyond their years.
Finally, I would like to thank the audience who continue to support local brass banding and make all our efforts worthwhile.
-Tony Flahive, Chairman, Millennium Brass, Tadley.
