SORRY: Due to a technical hitch, last week's report didn't appear.
50/50 AUCTION: Donald Dawson said: "I think the auction went very well and we grossed £800. Not everyone claimed their 50 per cent back, so we have made about £700."
He added: "Some of the items went well but the larger furniture items didn't do too well. It is very difficult to predict."
Brian Raisborough was the auctioneer who kept business running smoothly.
POETRY; National Poetry Day was celebrated at The Mill in Sherfield.
Thanks to Adam Harris, for his support, and to Sally and Graham, at the Post Office, who ran the straw poll.
Tina Taplin said: "We should give a special mention to Emma, seven, for My Dog Scamp."
