BASINGA: Last Saturday, around 170 people attended the 30th birthday celebrations of our beloved parish magazine.
Many people travelled far and wide to be present.
Peter Sibley and his wife travelled from Sherborne, David Picton came from Tadley and, perhaps most importantly, the Rev Robins, who started it off as a church magazine 30 years ago, also attended.
Photographs were taken by the new official Basinga photographer, Lin Osborne. The pictures, together with the past 360 publications, are lodged at the Hampshire Records Office.
Thanks go to all of the Basingerites, who put their energies into what is now a county treasure.
ALLOTMENTS: Fees are now due and should be sent to Julie Collins at the parish offices at the pavilion.
While on the subject of allotments, Sally Friday says membership numbers are increasing, and so is the number of helpers for the trading hut.
She reminds us that if you need fleece or bubble wrap, they stock it at bargain prices. Call her on 323602.
The AGM is on Wednesday, at the infant school.
