VOLUNTEERS: Soon it will be Remembrance Sunday, and we are looking for volunteers to help collect money for the Poppy Appeal.
Assistance will be needed from October 30 for a fortnight. If you would like to help out in Hook, contact Audrey on 762454.
HISTORY group: Putting the House to Bed is the title of the next meeting of Hook Local History Group.
The talk gives a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in the hundreds of National Trust houses as they begin to close down for the winter.
It starts at 8pm on Monday, at St John's Church hall.
LEO'S: For all those Hook children with endless energy, we are very lucky to have our own indoor play area in the village.
Leo's Adventure has recently opened in Osborn Way, and is the perfect place to take your children to let off some steam.

JOHN Morris: Sadly for Hook, we have recently lost one of our local heroes.
John, one of our former headmasters, died suddenly on October 2.
As well as being head of the infant and then the junior school, John was a very active member of the village and did his bit for the parish council and Hook Action Group, among others.
He was also closely connected to Hook Eagle Morris Men and hosted two memorable dancing weekends at his home in France.
Although he and his wife Sue moved to France some years ago now, they always kept in touch and John will be sadly missed by many.
