PARISH council: This month's parish council meeting was held last Monday, and, as usual, many issues were on the agenda.
Pc Ray Niblock was in attendance and made clear that no effort was being spared in dealing with the current spate of anti-social behaviour.
He urged residents to call the police on every occasion of disturbance or intimidation.
Each call is logged, and if members of the public do not report crime or nuisance, the statistics will suggest that no problem exists.
Pc Niblock also made known his intention to deal firmly with some bad parking practices, especially when causing an immediate danger, but also when blocking pavements and on verges.
Parish councillors discussed with a borough council officer a possible future "gateway" feature installation at Thornhill Way and Hanmore Road, which would emphasise to motorists that they are entering a residential area.
CHRIST Church, Reading Road, half-term holiday event: A dance workshop for five to 14-year-olds takes place on Wednesday, October 27, from 10am to 4.15pm.
