THE biggest shock of the second round was Senior 2 Northend United's 4-0 mauling of Fawley Reserves.
Fawley missed an early penalty before United debutant Simon Brown opened the scoring. Stalwart Gareth Meyer scored the other three goals.
Wellow also produced a surprise, winning 3-1 at Colden Common Reserves. Jack Wilkinson put Wellow in front but Max Elliott levelled. Two goals in the last ten minutes (Paul Traies and Ryan Fee) kept Wellow on course to equal last season's quarter-final place.
Last season's finalists, AFC Totton Reserves, went out after two second-half goals from Paul Burnett sent Winchester City Reserves into the last 16.
VT FC Reserves were beaten by an injury-time Rob Tudgay winner at Durley, while Fair Oak won their local derby encounter with Bishopstoke WMC, Dave Beckett scoring the only goal midway through the first half.
Netley Central also left it late but Ricky Bull sprung the offside trap to fire in the winner against AFC Arrow with less than five minutes left.
Nursling trailed M&T Awbridge but rallied to win 3-2 with player manager Pat McManus equalising. Mark Richardson and Ian Bush completed their victory.
Guy Bewick scored all three as North Baddesley won the all-Senior 1 tie against AFC Bassett in a bad-tempered match that saw Bassett reduced to ten men. Scott Turner scored the winner as Locksley Sports saw off AFC Target.
Ian Bradwell scored the Mottisfont winner in a 1-0 win at Hamble Club Reserves.
Senior 1 Forest Town NFC disposed of Premier Division fall guys Hythe Aztecs 4-1, Sam Bessalem scoring twice. Darren Ford and Hartman completed the tally.
Alex Waterman scored for Blackfield & Langley Reserves as they defeated Cadnam 2-1, Chris Thomas their other marksman.
In the North Hants Cup, Otterbourne Reserves' hero was Andy Harvey. He scored three goals as the Otters thumped Micheldever Reserves 5-1, Tim Boennic and Martin Evers weighing in.
