WELSH bad-boys Goldie Lookin Chain are on the run, not from the police as in the video for their last single, Guns Don't Kill People, Rappers Do, but on a fleeting tour of the UK. They are at Portsmouth Pyramids Centre on Thursday.

The GLC as they are commonly known released their debut album last month and have enjoyed national fame and performances at various festivals over the summer.

They are expected to perform tracks from the album such as, well, we would like to name them but unfortunately they all seem to have swear words in the title!

DIRECT from South Africa, 24 members of the Soweto Gospel Choir has just completed a sell out season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and are heading straight for Chichester Festival Theatre.

On Saturday they will be delivering their earthy rhythms, rich harmonies and charismatic performances. The choir received standing ovations at every performance at their Edinburgh stint.

INDIE rock group Seafood are releasing their new single, Sleepover and are coupling it with a UK tour, which stops off at Southampton.

They will be performing tracks from all three of their albums at The Joiners on tonight.

THE Ordinary Boys come to Portsmouth on Monday. Although their gig was scheduled for the Wedgewood Rooms, it has been moved to the Pyramids Centre (all previously bought tickets are still valid).

The night will give fans a chance to see the band up close and personal and enjoy tracks from their debut album Over the Counter Culture.

THE winners of Channel 4's Operatunity present A Night At The Opera at The Anvil, Basingstoke tonight. Denise Leigh and Jane Gilchrist will be taking to the stage as a part of their first national tour.

Since winning the talent show, Denise and Jane made a hugely successful appearance with English National Opera and released their first major CD with EMI Classics, which was nominated for album of the year at the Classical Brit Awards 2004. They will perform songs from some of the world's favourite operas at The Anvil, including La Boheme and Carmen. They will be joined by singers from Convent Garden and ENO with accompaniment from a variety of special guests.

THE famous bowler hat and striped waistcoat are one of the jazz world's most famous trademarks. Now they are back at the Regent Centre, Christchurch accompanied by their incomparable owner, Mr Acker Bilk MBE.

He will be performing at the Regent Centre tonight at 7.30pm alongside his Paramount Jazz Band regulars. The world-class clarinettist claims the unique achievement of having the first ever simultaneous number one in Britain and the USA with his unforgettable signature tune, Stranger on the Shore.
