Old Pauline 52, Romsey 0
ROMSEY suffered another heavy defeat last Saturday after making a promising start, writes Gary Banks.
With the scores level after 20 minutes, none could have expected the avalanche of points to come.
Romsey lost flanker Ollie Fryer in the opening minutes but still looked capable of taking something from this game until, midway through the first half, the hosts struck for the first time.
From then it seemed like one way traffic with Romsey unable to string together any real possession with which to fashion any kind of threat to the home side.
Having shipped over a century of points in their last two matches, Romsey will be hoping for a quick change in fortunes in this week's trip to Trojans in the Powergen Junior Vase and the following weekend's visit of Old Emanuel.
