WHEN asked if he could go to Salisbury to help raise funds for local charity Children's Chance, the Rt Hon Michael Portillo responded that it would be an 'honour and delight'.
So to do his part, Mr Portillo will be appearing at The Medieval Hall in Salisbury on October 23, to engage in conversation with TV presenter and the charity's president, Andrew Harvey.
He will be expected to talk about his eventful life as a Cabinet minister and also his experience of life as a single mum, that he gained from the BBC2 documentary he famously took part in.
All proceeds will go to Children's Chance, which provides opportunities for financially underprivileged children. Tickets cost £12.50. For further details and tickets, call 01722 322791.
