Weymouth 2 Andover 2 Andover travelled to Weymouth with only a starting XI, but they worked hard to scrap out a draw.
Against a Weymouth side recently relegated from the regional leagues, they expected a tough game but got the best of the early exchanges.
The first half deteriorated for Andover though as they failed to create any real chances and Weymouth were able to press the three defenders.
Oostendorp, Brooks and Rob Jackson held firm and neither team looked liked giving anything away.
However, not long before half-time Weymouth won a penalty corner and deflected the initial shot giving Strickland no chance to make a save.
