STOCKBRIDGE leapfrogged Shaftesbury into fifth place in the Wessex Division 2 table last night after they came from behind to beat the Dorset newcomers 2-1 at their Coppice Street home.
Stockbridge assistant manager Stuart Thompson beamed: "That was probably our best performance of the season so far. Our preparation was good, we gave a full on display and fully deserved our victory."
Shaftesbury took the lead after ten minutes when Danny Carter saw his initial effort parried by the visitors' keeper but reacted first to rap in the loose ball.
Mark Vowles squared a pass across the six-yard box for Charlie Spencer to slot home a 35th minute equaliser with a 20-yard drive from Paul Coppin clinching 'Bridge's win.
