NHS Quit Smoking Service: This is a free service for people who want to stop smoking.
Already, hundreds of smokers in north Hampshire have successfully completed the service's programme.
Friendly quit-smoking advisers provide positive support.
You can also get nicotine patches, gum and lozenges on prescription to help you beat the addiction.
These are said to help you to quit.
The service also encourages "quitters" to join a group.
Research has proven that these gatherings are the best way to stop and many people say that joining the meetings helped beat the addiction.
If there is no group running in your area, or you are unable to attend, one-to-one appointments are usually available.
Regular clinics are run in Basingstoke, Tadley, Bordon and Alton.
A new clinic starts at Gillies Health Centre on Monday, October 18, at 10am.
You need to book a place by calling 0845 602 4663.
If you want to give up smoking, you are not alone.
Many people are getting help. It doesn't matter how long you have been puffing, or how old/young you are.
Christina Moran, on 01256 312641, can give you details.
