RESIDENTS from the Channel Islands estate in Southampton will be joining forces with graffiti artists at a special workshop on Thursday.
Locals from the estate in Lordshill will be helping the artists smarten up two subways in the area which have been targeted by yobs. The art workshop has been funded by the Outer Shirley Regeneration Programme and is part of a range of activities taking place in the city's Family Learning Week, which runs until Sunday, October 17.
Parents and children are hoping to create a series of murals that will be transferred to the walls of the Rozel and Sarina subways by artists working for Beyond Graffiti.
The artists will also be at the workshop to help people develop their ideas.
