HYTHE trader Carol Pass is counting the cost of a smash-and-grab raid at her gift shop.
Burglars threw a lump of asphalt through the front window of Victoria's Inspired Giftware in High Street and made off with Betty Boop figurines worth £200. The raid also caused £1,000 damage.
Mrs Pass said: "I couldn't open the shop yesterday because there was glass all over the place. The mess was dreadful."
A police spokesman said two people had been charged with burglary following the break-in.
