AN INJURY-TIME header from prolific youngster Matt Smith earned Nursling a fine 2-1 win against Botley Village on Saturday.
Paul Odam had put Nursling in front very early in the game but Botley levelled with less than ten minutes left, before great work by ex-AFC Totton stalwart Mark Richardson set up Smith for the winner.
Ironically, it was another former Totton player, Tommy Peglar, who scored a hat-trick as Cadnam United ended Priory Rovers' resistance.
Peglar opened the scoring but a Malc Stuart penalty levelled before the interval.
Wayne Green was Cadnam's other scorer in their 4-1 victory.
AFC Target won a topsy-turvy match that saw both teams lead at Locksley Sports.
Ben Boyce hit two of their goals as they recovered from 2-1 down to win 3-2 with the winner coming late in the game.
Pete Hurst was also on target for Target after Lee Bowers and a Jason King penalty had put Locksley 2-1 up.
These two must face up again next Saturday as they are paired in Round 2 of the Southampton FA Cup.
Otterbourne Res improved their lot with a 4-0 win against struggling Brendon, who are still without a point.
Stuart Futter, Jamie Nash, Gary Voysey and Andy Harvey the Otters marksmen.
Classic Comrades were goalless at the break against Hythe Aztecs but turned the screws on their opponents with five second half strikes with a brace each from Rob Burch and Andy Elliott while Kristian Winter made up the tally.
