SAINTS chairman Rupert Lowe has been appointed as the new chairman of the south-east region of The Prince's Trust.
The three-year post will see him providing high-level support to south-east regional director Dr Terry Ryall.
He will take up a broad role overseeing the work of all of the youth charity's programmes in the south-east, including its 12-week personal development course, Team. The Team Programme is linked to 62 Premier and Football League clubs and helps young people develop skills and confidence.
Southampton Football Club already supports The Prince's Trust Team Programme and, in the past, has offered work placements, donated match tickets and autographed merchandise for fundraising purposes.
Mr Lowe said: "I have been a supporter of the youth charity for a long time, working closely with The Prince's Trust's Team Programme linked to Southampton Football Club. The youth charity is invaluable to thousands of young people each year and I am looking forward to working with the staff and volunteers."
