BIG BROTHER winner Nadia Almada brought traffic to a standstill in Southampton when she came to the city to promote this year's Mayflower theatre pantomime, Peter Pan.
The glamorous Portuguese transsexual, who wore a green sequinned dress and diamante tiara especially for the occasion, drew a huge crowd of spectators as she modelled her outfit for photographers outside the theatre on busy Commercial Road yesterday.
Nadia, who was known in Big Brother for her raucous laugh and catchprase of "Oh, my God!", will play a mermaid in the pantomime - a role that has been written into the show especially for her.
"I am really looking forward to being in the pantomime," said 27-year-old Nadia.
"A year ago I was just a bank clerk - now I am appearing in the theatre.
"I'm there to bring some glamour to the show.
"I am looking forward to being in Southampton - I've never been here before.
"I'm still single, so I'm on the lookout for a man while I'm here.
"You never know - my dream man might live in Southampton!"
Nadia will be joined by Heartbeat and former Coronation Street star Geoffrey Hughes, who plays Mr Smee.
Peter Pan runs at The Mayflower Theatre from Friday, 17 December to Sunday, January 23. Box office: 023 8071 1811.
