Another league loss for Andover, as they travelled away to Jersey, but an all-together more promising performance.
The outcome would have been different had Andover not gifted the home side two early tries in the opening ten minutes.
Jersey came out of the blocks firing on all cylinders, whereas Andover could have been accused of still being in the changing rooms.
The opening score exploited space and overlaps on the left as Andover over committed to the ruck, leaving the visitors backs undermanned and exposed. The second was a text book pick up from the base of the scrum and the diminutive Stu McRae was barrelled over, the conversion bouncing back off the cross bar.
