CLAIRE Spreadbury is heading for Jersey next month to defend her title as world under-25 girls' indoor champion.
The Loddon Vale teenager will be returning to the scene of her greatest triumph when she competes in the tournament starting on Wednesday, October 27.
Her event involves 14 of the globe's most talented youngsters who will compete in round-robin groups of seven, with the top four in each going through to the knockout stages. Matches will be played in sets.
The England under-25 indoor international will also be competing in a new drawn junior mixed pairs section alongside Ireland's Garry Kelly.
Before that the Hampshire 16-year-old has a special engagement to fulfil: playing at Barwell, Leicestershire this Saturday in the President's Day of this season's English Women's IBA president Gill Wonnacott.
