Chandler's Ford Townswomen's Guild has scored a double win after scooping two glittering trophies.
The members walked away with the top prize for the Joyce Preddle arts and craft competition with an impressive entry and have already clinched the South Hants and Wilts Federation Chairman's Cup in last year's competition. The theme of the arts and craft competition was 'a story in a sack' and members had to make props with which to tell a children's story, The Naughty Imp, which was written by a friend of the members, Ileane Adamson.
It's the first time any guild in the federation has had both cups in their guild at the same time. Chairman Anne Campone said: "We were pleased to have won this because we are a relatively new guild and it is difficult to get people involved and get it up and running."
The guild meets monthly on Monday evenings at the Dovetail Centre at Chandler's Ford Methodist Church.
