Local anglers will have a golden opportunity to watch the best shore anglers in the world throughout the week as the World Shore Angling Championships are being staged throughout this week at Weymouth, with most of the fishing taking place along Chesil beach during the evenings.
The final match will be held on Friday evening, with fishing from 6-10pm. There will also be matches on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The England team contains Portsmouth's Ina Golds and Darren Phillips, who has just moved from Fareham to Andover.
The Headquarters for the event, which is being organised by the National Federation of Sea Anglers, will be at Littlesea holiday camp where more than 200 people will be on site. The final medal presentation will be held on Saturday evening in the theatre at Littlesea Holiday camp.
