EVENSONG: The last service for this year will be this Sunday, at 6pm, in the parish church.
The Rev David Picton will lead the service from the old prayer book.
SILCHESTER Players: Held their annual donation evening last Wednesday, when the proceeds from the last three productions were donated to charities.
Keith Graham, producer of Sandcastles, gave the profits of the show to Kidney Research.
Sarah Oliver, producer of the panto Dracula, gave her show's profits to SeeAbility, Heather House, Tadley, and Tim Oliver, producer of Tiptoe Through the Tombstones, gave the profits from his show to Tadley First Responders.
All these charities were present to receive their cheques and expressed their thanks to the Players.

SPRATS: Will be held next Wednesday, in the Mission Church, starting at 9.45am.
This group of small children, with parents or responsible adults, meet to sing songs, have some fun and listen to a Bible story.

BROWNIES: Last Saturday's jumble sale raised more than £100.
Many thanks to those who gave jumble and came along to find a bargain.
Also, many thanks to the helpers whose time and energy is much appreciated.
PARISH church: It is planned to sell Christmas cards this year, in aid of the development fund, to help to pay for the cost of a small kitchen and toilets at the church.
HARVEST supper: Is to be held on Friday, October 1.
