WORLD'S Biggest Coffee Morning: Today, members of Immanuel with St Mark's will be holding a coffee morning from 10am until noon in the church rooms at St Mark's School.
Look out for the signs directing you to the round room.
NEIGHBOURCARE quiz: The next quiz takes place on Saturday, October 9, at Hatch Warren Junior School, from 7.30pm.
As always, the registration fee of £7 not only gets you a place in the quiz, but also a supper of fish and chips or chicken and chips.
Participants need to bring their own drinks.
For further details, or to register a team, call 332424 or 819336.
VOLUNTEERS needed: Basingstoke Neighbourcare is now so successful in reaching people in Basingstoke in need of help, that it urgently needs extra volunteers.
If you can give a small amount of time to help someone with a hospital visit, a shopping trip, gardening, dog walking or some emergency baby-sitting for example, then please come forward and call 01256 332424.
ST MARK'S School: Work on the new extension to the building is nearly complete and has gone well.
It should not be too long before it is completed.
MOBILE mast application: O2 has submitted a new application for a 3G mast in Cliddesden Lane.
At the moment it is not clear whether this is a new requirement or if it is a replacement for the mast that was rejected by planners last July, about which O2 had lodged an appeal.
It is also not known whether this appeal will now continue.
Simon Preedy is investigating this.
I will give you more news as soon as I have it.
