November is just around the corner and with it so is LULU - who will be coming to the Portsmouth Guildhall on November 9. As the pop darling of the 1960s she is one of the only female singers to have appeared in the charts over five decades.
What happens when you combine two Sheffield-based computer programmers? You get the 80s electro pop band HUMAN LEAGUE. Formed in the late 1970s by Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, Human League recorded some of the most influential songs of the decade and will now be bringing some of those songs along as they come to Southampton Guildhall on December 12.
Being constantly played on the radio at the moment it would appear that, indie-punk band RAZORLIGHT are the band of the moment and they are appearing for one night only at The Pyramid Centre, Portsmouth on October 11. Compared to the likes of The Clash and The Libertines this is a band to keep an eye on.
Musical inspiration comes to Ferneham Hall, Fareham in February, as THE DRIFTERS play for one night only. As one of the longest running pop bands in history, The Drifters, have had more than 50 worldwide hits including, the notorious Under the Boardwalk and Saturday Night at the Movies. Even though the line-up may have changed since the original in 1953, it is clear that the musical passion has remained.
