RAF veterans gathered together on Sunday afternoon to take part in a Service of Thanksgiving to commemorate the Battle of Britain.
Under the auspices of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), the service was held in St Mary's nd conducted by the vicar, the Rev David Williams.
There was no parade this year because of the ages of many of the participants, but that did not detract from the significance of the occasion.
Among the wreath-layers after the service was the Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Neville Whiteley.
After the service the congregation stood while the RAFA standard was returned to the bearer and paraded out of the church, followed by other Standards.
This week Mayor Whiteley said the service and the ceremony at the war memorial was very well attended.
He said: "I was particularly pleased to see so many members of the Air Training Corps there. I spoke to many of them because I think it's important to give them as much encouragement as possible."
