GRIEVING parents last night pleaded with the hit-and-run driver who killed their teenage son to give himself up.
Anthony and Angela Liddon made an emotional appeal to the motorist just hours after their 15-year-old son Ryan lost his fight for life.
They were at his hospital bedside yesterday when doctors switched off his life support machine after tests showed he was brain dead.
The distraught couple kissed their son goodbye as his life ebbed away.
Shortly afterwards they returned to their home at Larkspur Gardens, Holbury, where they had the heartbreaking task of telling their other son, Nicholas, 17, that his brother was dead.
Later, in an interview with the Daily Echo, Mr and Mrs Liddon said they hoped the driver would turn himself in to police.
Mrs Liddon, 48, said: "We just want justice for Ryan."
The couple kept a vigil at their son's hospital bedside after he was hit by a car as he walked along Fawley Road, Hythe, following a trip to Southampton.
Ryan suffered serious head injuries in the accident and never recovered consciousness.
Mrs Liddon added: "We spent as much time at the hospital as we could and went home solely for Nick because we didn't want him to feel neglected.
"He went to see Ryan several times, but it was too emotional."
Anyone with information about the incident should ring Operation Lexington at the Eastleigh Roads Policing Unit on 0845 045 4545.
