Romsey must make home advantage count as they welcome a much-improved Guernsey side from the one they beat to the Hampshire Division 1 title two seasons ago.
The Channel Islanders, with a substantial victory under their belts from an away day at Old Amplefordians, travel confident of overturning a much-changed Romsey outfit from the side that unconvincingly disposed of East Dorset in the Junior Vase last week.
There are positional alterations all over the park, with front row pair Richard Webb and Richard Worley both absent, so Anthony Gerrett plays hooker and moves Stuart McCormick to tight head. Ian Panton plays his first game of the season in the back row.
Richard Pye is recalled to the wing so Jerry Francis switches to centre, while influential fly-half Graham Noble plays his last game before departing for university.
Southampton's indifferent start needs to be halted and they can do that when Amplefordians head south.
Skipper Tony Cador has made key changes with the return to league action of experienced heads Wayne Allen and Dave Griffiths, while the skipper reverts to his favoured blindside flanker place.
With Martyn Sheridan out with a torn bicep, Alan Cooper comes into the centre in an otherwise fairly settled side.
In London Division Three South-West, Tottonians have probably the most difficult task of keeping their 100 per cent record, but they name a virtually full strength side for the visit of Old Wimbledonians. They are only without captain Paul Goodall as fly-half James Weeks' ankle injury sustained last weekend at Bournemouth has healed. Martin Goodall continues at scrum-half. Chris Smith returns on the wing.
Skipper Goodall believes his side will still be good enough for the challenge. "They have a good set of backs but we can match them," he said. "We should have beaten them last time we played them."
Winchester will not be taking anything for granted when they visit Alton, although they should have little difficulty extending their league record to three wins from three starts.
James Bingham is given a start in the centre as he partners the returning Dan Kinsey while Luke Ryan and Dan Waddington are back after missing the cup game at Maidstone. New signing from Havant, Andy Short, is on the bench.
