POLICE have today launched an investigation following the death of a man in the Newtown area of Southampton.
Officers are treating the death as suspicious.
They are appealing for any people who witnessed a dispute in the Derby Road and Cranberry Avenue at 11pm last night to come forward.
The man has not been identified and a post- mortem examination is due to be carried out later today.
