TICKETS were sold out when folk singer Cara Dillon performed at The Anvil two years ago.
Having wowed the crowds at this summer's WOMAD concert in Reading, Cara returns to The Anvil on Sunday, October 3.
The singer, who has seduced the whole country in just a couple of years, made her name as a vocalist with Equation before "doing her own thing" with band member Sam Lakeman.
Her first album certainly had the critics singing her praises, while her second, Sweet Liberty, is described as being intimate and beguiling, capturing the essence of her mature emotional interpretation of traditional songs.
"I am lucky," says Cara, "I'm able to play the type of music I love with great musicians and we're having a lot of fun - you can't ask for much more than that."
The Irish singer, who now lives in Somerset, sings with clarity, beauty and style - if you haven't heard her before, find out for yourself.
The music starts at 7.30pm with tickets costing £14.50. To book, call the box office on 01256 844244, ticket fax on 01256 366900 or visit www.theanvil.org.uk
