IT was a case of keeping it in the family when Cub leader Jenny Hughes wanted to give a dozen young members of the Botley-based 29th Broad Oak Cub pack a boost with working towards their local heritage badge.
The youngsters will eventually be asked to conduct a walk pointing out places of interest.
Who better to clue them up than the mayor of the borough - especially when Akela can call on the assistance of the first citizen, her mother-in-law.
Eastleigh mayor Councillor June Hughes and her escort Mr Albert Hughes gave the eight to ten-year-olds information on the borough on a visit to the mayor's parlour.
