TOP model Jodie Kidd has become the first member of a new executive airline launched today at Southampton Airport.
Called Club 328, the company has taken delivery of eight luxury Dornier commercial planes at its headquarters at Southampton Airport, to be used as executive charter planes.
The name derives from the firm's unique new pricing system where users pay 328,000 euros (£223,500) into a secure account and then use it to pay for the planes plus discounted rates for car and yacht hire across Europe. The money banked becomes points to be used for luxury travel and the new service includes five hours' free flying.
A trip to Nice in the south of France with the new airline will cost £9,325 per charter, or £621 per passenger. The airline also flies a selection of Hawker 125 and Citation jets. A company spokesman said: "Club 328 is an exclusive private members' club. We created it to provide discerning travellers access to the world's finest executive jets, yachts and fast cars at highly preferential rates."
