LEE Rodriguez showed talented athletes from far and wide a clean pairs of heels as he raced to victory on familiar roads in the New Forest Half Marathon.
The hugely popular event - one of the biggest and best organised in the south - again attracted a quality field in both the full and half marathon.
New Forest Runners' Rodriguez was one of the first men to head out of New Milton and on to the picturesque course, and he came home unopposed in a brilliant one hour, ten minutes and ten seconds.
Runners came from all over the country to take part but it was the local clubs that dominated the top places in the 13.1-mile event.
Second home was Southampton Running Club's David Branfoot - three minutes behind Rodriguez.
Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers' Lucy Elliott won the women's event - coming home in 1.24.10.
Exeter Harriers' Mike Feighan will be glad he made the trip to the New Forest after winning the gruelling 26.2-mile race by more than a mile.
Feighan clocked a lonely 2.34.40, which put him about 13 minutes in front of second-placed Les Wrangle (Winchester & District AC).Springfield Striders' Sarah Tucker was just two minutes over the three-hour mark to take the women's title, a good ten minutes in front of Yeovil Town Road Running Club's Linda Cummins.
