HE'S made his bed - and now he can lay in it!
Lee McNeill, who has spent eight years working with one of the country's leading bedding companies, found himself on a dream assignment away from the factory near Southampton.
The 25-year-old bedmaker was asked to take part in publicity material for Millbrook Beds, which employs 360 people.
That involved a two-hour photographic session with a professional model on - appropriately enough - one of the company's handcrafted beds.
Now the pictures will be used to help illustrate its latest advertising campaign, which involves telling potential customers how its pocket-sprung beds can spice up their nightlife!
Lee, from Maybush in Southampton, was chosen from a good-natured shortlist of six contenders from the shop floor at Calmore, Totton.
He said: "I thought it was a bit of a wind-up at first.
"A lot of the lads were pulling my leg, but as soon as they saw the model they didn't say anything, apart from 'well done, fair play to you'.
"The model was quite helpful and made me feel more comfortable as I was quite embarrassed.
"I haven't really done anything like this before."
Lee's girlfriend, 26-year-old Caroline Crabb, also took Lee's unusual production role in the right spirit.
He claimed: "She didn't mind!"
