WITH the Southampton Senior Cup first round being played, the Hampshire League programme was down to five matches and one of those was postponed an hour before kick-off.
With Andover New Street travelling to Portsmouth to take on East Lodge, the coach transporting the team and officials broke down on the M27 and there was no chance of them continuing.
That gave Stockbridge the chance to top the table as they kept their 100 per cent winning record by beating Winchester City A 1-0 - while M&T Awbridge were dropping their first points in a 2-2 draw against Ludwig Leisure (Basingstoke).
M&T missed easy chances in the first 20 minutes, but Hoyle finally found the net to put the home side in front just before the interval. M&T continued to press and midway through the second half Blake put them 2-0 up.
Ludwig continued to go forward and in the last 15 minutes surprised the home team by pulling two goals back to take a point. Sherman had an excellent match in goal for M&T.
Broughton, in the lower reaches last season, brought off a very good 4-1 win against newcomers Upham to take their first points.
Fair Oak and Vernham Dean battled out an eight-goal thriller when goals from Rhodes (2), Padderon, Allaan and Gentry gave the home side a 5-3 victory.
In the Southampton Senior Cup, Durley were 2-0 winners thanks to an own goal and a Sean Riddate strike. Lyndhurst won 4-1 (Maidment, Storer, Harrison and Edwicker) and Sporting BTC progressed 3-2.
