FORMER Saints boss Alan Ball has set up his own Football Academy to develop young players on the south coast.
Billed as 'elite coaching for the non-elite', Ball's vision is to provide "every player the greatest opportunity to develop their football skills in addition to important life skills such as discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork."
Coaching sessions take place at Fleming Park leisure centre every Tuesday and Thursday between 5-6.30pm.
Sessions will cost £5 each and the first session will start next Tuesday.
Children wanting to register for the ABFA can pay a one off registration fee of £11.75.
This will include the first coaching session, an ABFA T-shirt and sootball.
Each child will also receive fortnightly e-mail reports on their progress and helpful tips on how to improve.
To register, either call 023 80266613 leaving your name and contact details, or e-mail abfa@btinternet.com
The England World Cup winner is currently working his way through a hectic schedule.
Not only did he release his autobiography earlier this month - following a series of extracts in the Daily Echo - but on Monday he hosts the inaugural Alan Ball Golf Day at Stoneham Park.
Among the roll call of ex-players who have pledged to play are Neil Ruddock, Matt Le Tissier, Gordon Strachan, Peter Shilton, Jimmy Case, Mark Dennis, Peter Osgood, Francis Benali, Terry Mancini, Kevin Moore, Frank Gray, Nicky Banger and Gordon Watson.
Hampshire cricket legend Robin Smith and former Northlands Road colleagues Adie Aymes and Tim Tremlett are also due to play, as is one-time Goodie Tim Brooke-Taylor.
