A NORTH Warnborough property has been given a new name and a new look since estate agent Keel Barrett sold it to the current owners five years ago.

As Michael O'Shea, head of the Basingstoke estate agents, put a price of £700,000 on the property, he said: "It doesn't bear any resemblance to the property we sold five years ago."

Extensions to create a two-storey home from a bungalow have doubled the size of Sundowners, which was previous called Harlington Court.

The house is set in more than an acre of grounds, which border the Basingstoke Canal and open countryside.

As well as refurbishing the interior of Sundowners, the vendors have also landscaped the grounds to include an ornamental rockery and fish pond.

An extension into the roof area of the original bungalow has created a master bedroom that has a dressing room and bath and shower room.

A second bedroom is also on this level and is large enough to sub-divide to make into two.

The ground floor has three more possible bedrooms, one with a cast-iron fireplace, as well as a shower room. The versatility of the layout means that two of the rooms could be used as a family room and a study.

Polished floorboards are a feature of the dining room, which also has a reconstituted stone fireplace. The lounge and the conservatory that leads off it both have wood laminate flooring.

More wood laminate flooring has been laid in the kitchen-breakfast room where the units are inset with an oven and hob.

The utility room opens to a lobby area, which links to the attached garage, and there is a separate building with garaging for two cars.
