SAINTS were this morning considering claims that head coach Steve Wigley is not fully qualified to be in charge of the club.
A tabloid newspaper report stated Saints will be in breach of Premiership rules if Wigley remains in charge at St Mary's for more than three months.
That is the maximum time clubs are allowed to operate under anyone who does not hold a UEFA Pro-Licence or an FA Coaching Diploma.
Wigley, who took over after Paul Sturrock left by mutual consent just two games into the season, is believed to only hold an FA advanced coaching licence.
The report states he is a year off being able to qualify for the Pro-Licence he requires to stay full-time as head coach.
Wigley, right, has stated all along that he is the "man in charge" and his appointment was made with the long-term very much in mind.
