Newcomers Stanmore wasted no time in stamping their mark on Sunday Division 2, romping to victory over hapless Winchester Trident Reserves by sixteen goals to nil!

Skipper Chris Prangle ran midfield, and man-of-the-match Mark Feltham (8), Martin Cram, N Judd (2), J Mitchell (2), Scott Walters, Wayne White and Seb Defelice were the men on target.

In a game played in excellent sprit, Whalesmead Thistle scored against Micheldever Station Reserves from the kick-off through debutant Andy Kneller, who doubled the tally within five minutes. Both goals were set up by Darrell Voller. Gavin Salter made it 3-nil with a 20-yard free kick and Kneller later completed his hat-trick. Full credit should go to Pete Nicholson, the Thistle stand-in keeper. Matthew Banks gave Alresford Town an interval lead against Accutek Reserves with a well taken goal, and, after an equaliser, Darren Ottley scored the winner.

Twyford Rovers Reserves put on an organised, solid performance to beat Exchange Reserves 3-nil, while Dave Hudson scored for Bitterne in a 3-1 defeat by Eastleigh Town.

Premier Division Littleton cricket Club and Twyford Rovers played flowing football. Simon Daunter dominated midfield, and it was his long throw which led to Nigel Dibben's glancing header giving the cricketers the lead. With Toby Fallon and Chris Clayton solid in defence the Cricketers were able to push forward. Paul Anscombe set up Rob Kitley to round the keeper and make it 2-nil.

Mash Tun also won 2-nil, against Micheldever Station. The Tun dominated with commitment and teamwork, and Richie Price and Mikey Brennan, after a brilliant move through midfield, scored.

Referee Mr Dawkins scored 20 out of 20 as AFC Locomotive beat Romsey Printing 5-1 in another good-spirited game. Alan French (3), Steve Gooch and Steve Peadon scored for the winners, and Nick Hartwell replied.

In a hard fought game, Rising Sun (Jon Malone) and Exchange (Jon Calvert) drew 1-1. Midfielder Matt Rackham was the pick of the Exchange side.

Division 1

Ash France (2) and Leon Wheeler found the net for Chandler's Ford in a 3-nil win over WCSC Littleton, while C May (penalty) and R Dowling gave Rising Sun Reserves a 2-nil verdict against King Alfred.

In a good spirited game, Itchen Valley came from 2-nil down to go 3-2 up before being pegged back by Winchester Trident for a final tally of 3-3. Sacha Nicholas emerged from behind his desk at the Football Association to score twice for Trident, their other goal coming from Dan Prior. Dave Cornick, Lee Pomeroy and John Wanless replied.

Eastleigh Blazers went ahead early in their game and beat Jossy's Giants 3-1, with Andy Wilde and Jamie Layton (2) scoring and Michael Bannah responding.

A White Swan player was red carded for leaving the field without the referee's permission during their 6-nil defeat against Grantham Arms. Graham Drew, Andy Butler, Steve Frampton, Sean Wren and Scott Rice (2) scored.
